B. Paul Santos is Managing Partner at Wavemaker Partners. He led the establishment of the Singapore-headquartered Southeast Asia (SEA) office in 2012. Prior to starting Wavemaker, Paul was an entrepreneur who co-founded 6 companies and sold 3. He started his career as a product manager at P&G.
Doug is a deep tech entrepreneur, having built and exited nuTonomy, one of the very few successful self-driving car companies. He is now 100% focused on investing in clean tech, including green energy, climate change and water and waste technologies. He lives in Auckland, New Zealand with his wife and two daughters.
Marie is a venture builder with experience in early stage startups and corporate innovation and has worked with over 20 entrepreneurs to help them build their businesses. In the last two years, Marie has focused exclusively on launching climatech startups in SouthEast Asia and is passionate about increasing the pipeline of women founders in the sector.
Quentin is a venture builder and with deep expertise in climatetech, energy technology and business model innovation. He has built a successful corporate venture builder for ENGIE focused on climate-tech with partners like EDB, ESG and Standard Chartered Bank, at which he has built over 10 companies in Southeast Asia in areas such as solar, energy efficiency, cold chain, industrial processes and green finance. Prior to that he built ENGIE’s renewable hydrogen business and lead the investment in large and small scale renewable energy infrastructure projects across South and Southeast Asia.
Steve is an entrepreneur who has built businesses in Asia and Europe. This includes most recently as co-founder of PropertyGuru Group which he grew into a market leader in Southeast Asia used by 37 million people monthly. He is a sustainability advocate, angel investor and mentor focused on climate and social impact in Asia. He is based in London with his wife and two children.
Monique is an environmental engineer by training with 25 years of experience in the cleantech and climatetech space. As a successful serial entrepreneur with exits including Flexicar and DC Power Co, she is currently an AU Venture Partner with WMi and serves as a mentor and advisor to various cleantech and climatetech founders and startups. Monique is also a non-executive director and chair for cleantech scale-ups like JET Charge and Phantm, an IC member with two Australian climatetech funds (Breakthrough Victoria and Ecotone’s Planet Fund), and holds NED/Chair roles on various government boards.
An engineer-turned-entrepreneur, Guillem has spent a decade building and scaling companies across Southeast Asia. Passionate about sustainability and climate tech, he enjoys partnering with founders to help them think bigger, break new ground, and turn ideas into action.
Ben is a venture builder with experience in digitalization, industrial technologies, and sustainability spaces. Prior to joining Wavemaker, he was part of venture teams within the Singapore Economic Development Board and the World Economic Forum, building impactful businesses and startups. During his free time, Ben can be found trying to perfect his pasta-making skills and fixing vintage watches he bought on eBay.
Clement is a venture builder with a strong track record of growing new ventures. Prior to joining Wavemaker Impact, Clement helmed various product and growth teams at Carro and Snapask. Using his expertise in customer development, product development, and growth hacking, he hopes to create lasting impact for the world through venture building. In his free time, Clement enjoys spending time with stray cats and exploring the benefits of yoga for both mind and body.
Sumira is a venture builder with experience in strategy development and early stage business building across multiple markets. During her stints in management consulting and digital media, she was the driving force behind the creation of a range of new SEA-based digital platforms, and is deeply passionate about using these skills to create the next generation of climatech unicorns. In her spare time, Sumira enjoys watching and playing various sports, while also trying out new things in the kitchen.
Tauhid is the Country Head of Indonesia at Wavemaker Impact, where he leads efforts to build and scale climate tech startups in partnership with seasoned founders across Southeast Asia. Before Wavemaker, he co-founded ventures aimed at tackling single-use plastics and played key roles in the growth of Uber, OYO, and Gojek. Tauhid is also passionate about mentoring startups in sectors like agriculture, circular economy, and e-commerce. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering, reading, and spending time with his family as a husband and father of two.
Yifei has served in wide-ranging roles in the Singapore public service, where she supported the growth of MNCs, startups and accelerators. She believes that green businesses are critical to restore the balance between human civilisation and our natural environment. Outside of building ventures, she is an avid traveller who loves being in nature, a fitness fanatic and wine geek.
Ari is a venture builder with background in strategy development and early-stage business growth, complemented by his expertise in Bioenergy Engineering from the Bandung Institute of Technology. Prior to his role at Wavemaker Impact, he played a pivotal role in the Strategy Team at Pitik and provided strategic consulting services at Mercer Consulting, where he supported multiple companies in enhancing their business strategies. In his personal time, Ari enjoys staying active on the badminton court and exploring local cafes.
Cheryl’s background lies in sustainability, entrepreneurship and digitalization. Prior to joining Wavemaker Impact, she worked closely with startups to expand into the Vietnamese market and actively participated in research projects focusing on energy, decarbonization, and wastewater treatment in urban farming. In her free time, she enjoys visiting cafes, going for pilates and exploring personal development topics.
Cassandra’s background is in environmental science, business development, and international policy. Prior to joining Wavemaker Impact, Cassandra was at Temasek supporting ministerial engagements for strategic sustainable investments, and has also held operational roles with pharma companies Merck & Co. and Novartis. A passionate environmentalist since young, Cassandra can be found taking kids out to nature with her NGO, Earth School.
Amanda’s experience centers around sustainability and climate risk analysis. During her time at Columbia University and Yale-NUS College, she conducted flood risk research for New York City, authored a capstone on urban climate resilience, and assessed the financial viability of methane reduction solutions for the Environmental Defense Fund. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys making matcha, baking, exploring cafes, and experimenting with film photography.
Prior to Wavemaker Impact, Annisa’s background lies in public policy and management, where she contributed to academic research and publications on entrepreneurship, organizational transformation, and green energy transition. Beyond her work, Annisa loves discovering new places, seeking out hidden natural gems, and spending time with her pets. She’s always eager to read and learn more about sustainability, continually seeking new ways to live a more eco-conscious lifestyle.
Kawewat’s background is in sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He is passionate about seeing the sustainable market grow alongside the adoption of ESG practices within Thai businesses. Prior to joining Wavemaker Impact, he contributed to the development of a carbon accounting platform at MekhaV, where he also supported strategic planning and conducted market research. In his free time, Kawewat enjoys exploring cutting-edge technologies, innovative solutions, and engaging in new activities.
Sneha’s expertise lies in management, business strategy, and financial analysis, with international experience across Singapore and London. Before joining Wavemaker Impact, she worked with firms in both regions, building skills in deal analysis, financial modeling, and market research across industries like technology consulting and healthcare. She holds an MSc in Management from University College London. Outside of work, Sneha enjoys reading, practicing Pilates, and experimenting with new recipes.
Holly helps the fund bring on founders and ecosystem partners. She loves creating opportunities for people to connect and is always amazed by the projects, ideas, and ventures that emerge from those connections. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Geoffrey Bawa’s architecture, traveling throughout Thailand, and watching films from around the world.
Mel serves as the Executive Assistant to both Doug and Steve and is based in the Philippines. Beyond her professional role, she’s a passionate Greenpeace volunteer and an embroidery artist. Through her art, Mel advocates for mental health, offering workshops that promote emotional well-being and foster community engagement.
Krezia is an executive assistant based in the Philippines. Prior to joining Wavemaker Impact, she was employed at a foreign diplomatic mission for several years providing administrative/secretarial support and a wide range of consular services to its citizens travelling or living in the Philippines. She is a graduate of the University of the Philippines where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
